AUGUST / SEPTEMBER NEWS 2018

Monday, August 27th, 2018
Hello everyone

I hope you have all had a good break and enjoying the last few weeks/days of the summer holiday. This is a reminder that the new term starts on Saturday 8th September so looking forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready to pick up where we left off in July.

For many of you it will be new work you will be learning as I am pleased to tell you that the people who took ballet exams in June have all passed with merit or distinction. Congratulations and well done to all concerned, certificates and awards will be presented before the half term in October.

To make sure you know which time your classes are please look at the timetable section of this website where you will see there are some slight changes, also an extension of times of the Saturday lessons. If you are not sure email me and I will reply.

Many thanks and see you all soon.

Happy New Year 2018

Friday, January 5th, 2018

NEW TERM STARTING JANUARY 2018

Happy new year to all and hoping that your Christmas break was good. Just a reminder that lessons restart on Tuesday 9th and Saturday 13th January 2018.

Things have come to a standstill regarding the repairs to the building as I have been informed they are awaiting delivery of the main door. This means we will have to continue using the temporary entrance as we have been doing since last November.

For any new people it is at the right hand side of building where someone should be there to let you in, if not you can ring my mobile 07751790801 when I can send someone from upstairs, which is where the lessons are held.

All information regarding any weather problems will be posted on this website should it be necessary.

Trusting that you are ready for action, bodies and mind!

November Update

Monday, October 30th, 2017

Hello everyone,

This is to let you know that lessons will recommence at the Methodist Church hall starting from tomorrow Tuesday 31st October. The glass doors with the bell that you normally press to gain entrance to the building is not available so these are the temporary instructions of how to get in.

There is a door at the right hand side of the building with two white handrails, this is the new entrance. It is a fire door so will automatically close when you enter therefore will have to be manned at certain times. If there is no one there to open the door please ring my moblie number 07751790801 when someone from upstairs will let you in.

Please note also that parking will be limited because of the damage to the left hand side of the building being taped off but there is space at the back where you are still OK to park. The main thing is that you do not double park at the temporary entrance due to fire regulations.

Thank you for your understanding and patience with these arrangements but hopefully all will be resolved soon. I look forward to seeing you all, on my crutches still but able to give instruction. I will also be bringing the long awaited certificates and awards from the July exams!

October 2017 — Update

Sunday, October 8th, 2017

LATEST UPDATE. SUNDAY 8th October

TUESDAY CLASSES

Classes on the 10th and 17th October will be held in the Scout Hut at the back of St. Barbara’s Church, Rochester Road, CV5 6AG. Because of availability we are combining Grade 5 and Grade 4 from 4.45pm until 6.15pm. This means that grade 5’s can stay until 6.15 if they wish and grade 4’s to arrive as soon as possible and finish at 6.15pm.

We are using this opportunity to do a pointe work class as many of you have requested, so please bring pointe shoes and an old pair of socks to wear over the shoes (thin ballet socks rather than thick woolly please).

SATURDAY CLASSES

Saturday 14th October will be at St Barbara’s again with a new teacher Miss Lizzie and Miss Josie to assist.

HALF TERM WEEK

Saturday 21st October – Saturday 28th October inclusive

The latest update on the Methodist hall is that the church are aiming to have it available
after half term and maybe using a different entrance. Again this information will be posted here on the website which everyone should be checking. Thank you.

On a personal note I am pleased to say I have had my operation to repair the damage to my knee and am able to move around with crutches. I will need physiotherapy which will speed up the recovery and then I will be able to see you all again. I do hope that while I am sitting with my leg elevated that you are all working hard!

Thank you all for my get well card.

Hello everyone

Thank you to all who sent their good wishes regarding my knee injury. I need to have a small operation which should happen very soon and this means I won’t be seeing you for a few weeks. During this time Miss Kirstie assisted by Miss Josie will be taking the Saturday classes and Kirstie the Tuesday classes.

This coming Saturday 30th September will have to be cancelled unfortunately because Kirstie has a prior commitment.

I hope you understand; and I intend to make up any classes that are missed during this term. I will be seeing you as soon as I’m mobile again, which hopefully won’t be to long. Please keep checking the website for any further information and email or phone me if you need to.
